The Biodynamic Association is a charitable organisation founded in 1929 to foster and promote biodynamic farming and gardening in the UK.


The Biodynamic Association has a loyal online audience and an incredibly strong brand proposition, but was not using either to their full potential. Aware of this, they wanted to use digital strategy and activity to boost their brand awareness and ultimately increase membership.


With constrained budgets, the challenge was to do this in a sustainable but effective manner, reaching out to audiences old and new.


  • A very high 15.4% of traffic to the Biodynamic Association website came directly from social media during the six month campaign.

  • Social communities grew by 28% and social reach increased 170% to the six months prior.

  • Newsletter subscribers grew by 25% with industry-beating open and click rates.

A second phase 6 month strategy is now in place for outreach audiences and to grow membership.
