The Global Climate Strikes start on the 20th September, and millions of us around the globe will be walking out of our work places to join young climate strikers on the streets. We will be demanding an end to the age of fossil fuels and the beginning of a better, fairer future.
For us at If Not Now, this one is personal.
The stakes have never been higher, and we’ve never had less time to act. Climate Breakdown is a reality and the most vulnerable among us are already losing their lives. Indigenous people, experts and activists have been warning us for years and finally, finally, the behemoth that is our global society is beginning to turn. It's up to us to keep the pressure on.
If Not Now Are Joining The Climate Strike
On the 20th September 2019, we at If Not Now will be joining the youth climate strikes as part of the Global Climate Strike. We fully support the strike's aims and will be using our social channels to push their messages.
Why We're Joining
The threat of climate breakdown is too immense to be ignored - we must stand up and be counted when it comes to calling for change. We have less than twelve years to change pretty much everything, and we must start now. There is no time left for deliberation - we know what we need to do, and we must force those in power to make way for it.
You Should Join Us Too
Time is short and we cannot let our momentum slip. We need as many people as possible to join the strikes and make this the biggest, most united call for action on climate change yet. It is the fight of our lives for the future of all life on earth.
So, join us. Our strength lies in our numbers and in our desire to fight for something better. We must be the people that tried.
